HELP US, HELP YOU!

Category: Uncategorized — Cleta @ 11:34 am

Hartsel Fire is pleased to add an important, new part to our Safety Awareness Program.  It is called  Help Us, Help You,  a home addressing sign program.  We are providing green reflective signs with your home address in white reflective numbers for only $12.00 per sign.  When placed on your 4×4 driveway post, this sign will help emergency responders find your home more quickly. These signs can literally be life saving when every minute counts in an emergency situation.  They are visible night and day with reflective numbers that show up at night when headlights are shined on them.  These signs have your address numbers on both sides so that they can be read from either direction. Not only will emergency responders be able to locate your home quicker, but delivery drivers also appreciate these signs.  Help Us, Help You by purchasing one of these signs from Hartsel Fire at Station 1 in Hartsel, on Mondays or Tuesdays from 9 am until 4 pm or call Andy Grey, Public Education Officer @ 836-3500, leave a message if necessary.  Thank you!

BOARD ELECTION RESULTS

Category: Uncategorized — Cleta @ 1:49 pm

The Hartsel Fire  board elections were held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010.  I would like to thank all the voters who either voted by mail or came into the station to vote on election day.  There was an exceptionally  good voter turn out.  The support that the community showed for the fire department was overwhelming.  I would also like to thank the four election judges who worked very hard and spent many, many hours at the polling place on election day, they are: Carol Moeder, Penny Eldridge, Nancy Kreiling and Rod Dornan.  Thanks to all of you, you were wonderful and you did a terrific  job!

Congratulations to :  Incumbent, Susan Jones who was re-elected to the board for 4 more years, to incumbent, Bill Schwartzkopf who was re-elected to the board for 2 more years and a special congratulations to new board member, Jeff Winter who was elected to the board for the next 4 years.  Thank you for your dedication, we know you will all do a great job.               Cleta Grey, Designated Election Official
